This episode of Bizarre Foods had a good recipe.


Not sure how it just vanished. It looked delicious in this recipe.

Sterling af the 4 minute mark.

I just remembered the things we loved about Sterling. He had a genuine smile, and called Zimmern 'my friend' the whole time.



His generation really was the greatest.

There's 1 recipe in John Folse's 'After the Hunt' cookbook. Wife made it once, made the rat taste like beef.

We used to just cook them in a red gravy. They were actually decent to eat. They are easy to skin.

it is nice clean white meat very similar to rabbit
you're right they are simple to clean especially if you just take the hind quarters and there's plenty of them

not any different than eating coon or squirrel or rabbit or any other furry mammal
