Every time I go, I ask myself how this place stays open because it's always half full at best. However, I always seem to enjoy the food there. Am I in the minority here?

We love going there. Then turn tables very quickly with getting the food out fast. Probably why there's never a wait.

I like the one by my house in Prairieville over the one in BR by my office. For some reason it seems like the good is better there.

I usually get a steak quesadilla or a combo fajita plate. Couple of Dos Equis ambers to wash it all down.

I agree. I think it's much better than La Caretta, Casa Maria, Caliente (obviously ), Serrano's, etc. Not as good as Coyote Blues and Ninfa's, but still solid.

I just ask because I am worried that tacky as hell Lava Cantina joint might run Mi Padre's out of business.

I've been several times and never been disappointed. Good beef fajitas and homemade tortillas plus excellent service. Above average tex mex at a fair price.

Best steak fajitas in town. If you like tex mex you need to give it a shot. I always order the steak tampicas(sp?).

The one in pville is awesome. I got a ribeye the last time with onions and peppers and I must say it was cooked perfect and tasted better.

It simply means my ancestry in Spanish, so what is your problem with name?
