I like to eat it on the warmer side, but it rested about 7-8 minutes. Plenty juicy

Eta: also was 1-3/4 thick

See all that juice on your plate? It's not in your steak.

"ETA: also was 1-3/4 thick" no, You can tell your wife something is 9" when it is 4" but not here.

This is 2"

I don't think anyone does. You notice the obvious graduation in doneness from the edge to the center? That's not what happens with a reverse sear. I would imagine every single person reading this board could cook that 1" steak like that. I especially like how you took a picture of the ribeye cap, which will ALWAYS show the least graduation (even though this one is obvious) due to fat content.

Basically, pfffffffttttttt.

By the way, I'd eat the shite out of it.

Yup. Is a good looking steak. Like I said, I'd eat the crap out of it.

I'm going to need to see the crust of your steak to do a final judgment. The benefit of a reverse sear is a perfect crust in addition to edge to edge pink.

Sear could've been better. Sear burner on my pit needs to be replaced

ETA: this bone in was the other one that was on the part of the sear burner that had better heat

2 1/4" reverse seared tomahawk ribeye. Cooked with oak logs on the smoker, and seared over charcoal.

Edit: link to thread when I cooked this:
