Do any meat places sell wagyu steaks in Baton Rouge?

Plenty. But not the Japanese A-4 or 5 you are thinking of. Wagyu is a breed of cow. The steaks I've come across in Baton Rouge don't look all that different than a true prime angus.

I’m fine with Australian wagyu or other version. Where at?

Have you tried Iverstine? I buy their wagyu Denver steaks. I’m not overly knowledgeable on the nuances of wagyu (obv I know it’s not Japanese A5), but I like these regardless.
They come out beautifully.

Rouse's has wagyu now, don't they?

You always have downvotes for good posts, I’ve noticed.
Those steaks look incredibly good. Have an upvote.

Rouses
But it's not Japanese A4/5
Its Australian and it's $40ish a pound
Every butcher at Rouses works 6am-ish to 4pm-ish
Only talk to and deal with the butcher on duty. They love talking about their meat.

Maybe the other Rouses still have it but it’s not at Juban anymore.

I'll get downvoted for this but Walmart of all places.

They aren't bad if you can believe it, especially for the price compared to what other places charge and to true Wagyu. Biggest downside is they are prepackaged and you can't get custom cut.

Obviously not in BR but I recently ordered from Snake River Farms and it was phenomenal.

I’ve ordered from Alpine Butcher before out of Boston. Some of the best cuts I’ve ever seen. This was a last minute craving.
Thanks to Jody, I was able to get to Chris’ Specialty Foods before they closed and got a steak. Appreciate the help, FB.

My company has a business collaboration with a US company for overseas business, where we provide USDA Beef and Halal cert. if needed for Wagyu, Prime, Choice, Select and Grass-fed cattle, straight from the slaughter house to wholesalers and distributors in the US or worldwide. We purchase cattle from the feed lots (mostly Angus or Hereford) then process them at our slaughterhouse or a US branded Program slaughterhouse, vacuum seal the primal cuts, sub primal and trimmings (Whole Carcass), then send either air freight or sea freight, frozen or chilled as per customer.
For Wagyu, we sell American Fullblood Wagyu, meaning the cattle are 100% traceable to Japanese Wagyu cattle and they are not crossbred. However, we do offer F1, where these are crossbred with Angus or other breeds and are 50% or more genetic to Wagyu.
