Dining at SoBou tonight

I will report back. We were invited to complimentary pre-tasting.
Did a tour this week and the place is really nice. Wine and beer taps run to tables throughout the restaurant. Adventurous and expensive endeavor.
McPhail is actually the coowner with Ti and Lally in this.

I like the food that he pushes out at Commander's. Enjoy

I suspect they offered him coownership in this to ensure he sticks around at Commanders. If he sticks around at Commanders its a big win for everyone except The Count.

The pictures of food from SoBou that he's posted have been good looking.

Well I moved so I don't care
Although I'd like to see Commander's do well since I have a good friend who is a manager there

I forgot. Sorry.
Service was bad bit I expected this and wont hold it against them.
The place was beautiful. It is a much better layout than it was at bacco. The space was open and allowed for a more convivial atmosphere.
The pork gumbo was great. The voiding balls were OK. My veal hanger steak was the winner for the night as were the cracklins dipped in Cajun queso which was pimento cheese melted withsome chili. My wife's seared tuna was just too busy but was OK.
