Mr Johns. I like the steak better.

Same steaks and cooking methods

Mr John's is dimly lit, intimate, can be loud. Small dining room. Old school feel

Desi has a more open, contemporary steakhouse feel

Good description. It’s the same owner so the food is almost the same.

That’s an understatement. The one time I ate there I am confident I sustained hearing loss.

They really aren’t different food wise. It’s just about ambiance.

Doris is better than both.

Desi’s and it’s not even close. If you want an unseasoned hunk of meat, go to MJ.

This is the correct answer.

True as far as the steak. But if someone was deciding between Mr. John's and Desi, I wouldn’t recommend Doris as it's quite a bit different beyond the meat.

I've been to both recently, and I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I enjoyed my meal at Desi (in Metairie mind you) more than Mr. Johns.

They are both Desi Vegas restaurants. There's no real difference other than atmosphere.

Desi metairie has turned the corner as of a few months ago. I think they were forced to get their shite together when the crowds flooded them due to Covid and the city mandates. It was pretty crappy the first year or so they were open
