Going to a concert Saturday at House of Blues. We will be staying in the SMU area. Looking for a good meal before the show. Either in that area, downtown, or nearby.

Don't plan on being dressed up anymore than jeans and a button up.

We eat just about any type of food.

You're in a real big city. Price range or something would be helpful. There's literally hundreds of really good spots to eat so probably need a little guidance.

But my one reccomendation would be get pecan lodge for lunch while you are here

Had Cattleack a couple of weeks ago. I don't see how Pecan Lodge would top that but I'll give it a try if we make it for lunch.

For dinner, any type of food. Any price range. So long as jeans and a button up is suitable dress and it's one of the areas I mentioned originally.

Go to the grape on Greenville. Make sure to order the mushroom soup.

Great suggestion. I've actually been there before and forgot about it. Thanks!

It's such a wonderful place. Make sure to make reservations though. It gets packed.

If you want something closer to the concert, St Ann's is a fun little spot in an old Catholic school building downtown.

Came to post this. One of my favs in DFW. I actually love just ordering a bunch of small plates, charcuterie, etc.. and drinking wine.

Mushroom Soup, Bistro Mussels and Frites,

If you want to go someplace different, Raosacllion is on lowest Greenville and just across the street is Teppo which a great, small sushi place.

I thought it was just OK the couple of times I've had it, but it's not really my style of food so I don't know

I knew when I typed it something was amiss. Boulevardier is their sister restaurant in Bishop Arts.

An early reservation at Town Hearth (Design District not far from the House of Blues), if you can get it. Meso Maya is also good and near the HOB. Uchi is also not far from the HOB. A bit more towards Highland Park but also outstanding is Sachet. I'd say Town Hearth and Sachet are probably the two best restaurants in town right now.

What type of food are you looking for?

There is a Perry’s and a Del Frisco not far from HOB.

Perry’s has a killer double cut pork chop and their roasted Brussel sprouts are fantastic.
