Headed over to see Tom Petty in April at AAC. Any must hit spots in that general area for food/drink?

At that price, drinks and food must be included ...

For one of the best burgers you can have prior to the concert or the next day, check out Angry Dog.

Best pizza, Cane Rosso.

Best BBQ, Pecan Lodge. Second runner up, Lockhart Smokehouse.

Go to Havana right outside the south entrance for a scotch and cigar beforehand.

I agree with Will Cover's recs except Cane Roso for pizza. They don't even make my top 10. If you're a craft beer guy the Meddlesome Moth is a good beer place that has good food too. If you are in Deep Ellum for Pecan Lodge or Angry Dog then Dots Hop House has a uge beer selection and a great outdoor area.

Been to the moth before. Didn't realize it was close.

Cane Roso isn't my favorite either, but from what I can tell it's the best neoplolitan style pizza Dallas has to offer. It isn't on the level of Dominica in NOLA though.

Where do you get pizza?

Meddlesome Moth
This. I hit it up every time before an event and walk to the AA Center.

ETA: I've had good food at Pakpao, a Thai restaurant that's within walking distance too. Would recommend.

Grimaldi's for some NY style pizza.

SPIN is good too, I think the closest location is near SMU.

We have no shortage of pizza and burger joints in this city.

Happiest Hour is a quality open-air sportsbar within walking distance of the AAC. Great rooftop views of downtown. I'd eat elsewhere. But the talent there is top notch. Decent draft beer selection, too. Not on the level of the Moth, but pretty solid.

If you are looking for something a little different, Medina is a cool little Middle Eastern place
