Any idea when the crawfish season is going to end in the New Orleans area?

Just did a big boil this past weekend and they are starting to get hard. Not impossible to peel, more just an inconvenience. That being said, it was definitely my last boil of the season.

My two saddest days of the year are the end of football season and the end of crawfish season.

The end of crawfish season is the beginning of crab season. The end of crab season is the beginning of oyster season.

Supply is starting to dry up. Vendors are starting to tell places they won't be able to fill orders.

Got some easy peeling ones last week. I'll probably eat one more batch.
