Women pulled the beer industry in a whole new direction. First it was the Michelob Utlra (brilliant, brilliant marketing idea), then the Truly/White Claw/High Noon wave.

This always did puzzle me, Kinda a good thing in a way, but maybe a little worrysome.

Texas Ale Project , a good size brewer in Dallas, today announced it's closing. Kind of shocking as they have a pretty big distribution network. But as with all the other closings, their beer was pretty average.

By all appearances but they did build a huge new brewery about 3 years ago so I'm sure they've leveraged themselves for that.

Gilla makes good beer and the Mexican place next door is legit.

I’ve been gone from BR since 2013. Did Tin Roof fold? I liked their Amber and blonde ale and most of the others.

There are very few craft beers that I like. This is one wheel that did not need to be reinvented. I especially don't like very citrus tasting beers. Beer that tastes like lemon juice...GTFO.

I still miss the Porter Beer bar in little 5 Points in ATL

Not a brewpub, but does have a ridiculous selection. Also, it's in the heart of the most hipster area in all of Atlanta. It couldn't survive anywhere else around town. In my opinion.

I'd rather go next door and eat calamari and pound red stripes at Bridgetown Grill.
