Petite Rouge Coffee has opened their coffee shop on Calhoun near Elios, next to Moe's BBQ. They serve French Truck coffee.

Will be there quite a bit

Ruby Slipper cafe will be taking over the Cafe B's space in earlier 2019. Old Metairie, Metairie Rd.

They just opened in the old CCs on Magazine in the Garden District. Very sterile space.

How many locations can these folks sustain?

what ever happened to that pasta place that used to be in the dome pre-katrina? started with a P . you could choose your pasta, sauce and other ingredients and they would cook it in front of you.

Jennifer posted this week that they have plans to open 5 more next year. She used to work for me, I’m not about to underestimate their ability to accomplish anything.

sounds like a Another Broken Egg type of deal possibly

If they bring a crowd like their other locations that Met Rd parking will be a PITA

Overrated.

Some many great breakfast places in town. I don't get the hype. I'd prefer to go to Betsy's over Ruby Slipper.

They are going to kill it at that location. There really aren't many good breakfast places in Metairie.

When it first opened and it was just the midcity location, it was legit as hell. Now they've expanded so much its basically just a chain restaurant imo.

I’ve been hearing that Oak Oven rumor for a long time. What’s the hold up? Is it still even a possibility?

I liked the idea of them opening there and having a courtyard or patio of some kind

It is my understanding that they’ve been under lease going on a year now. Not sure what the hold up is. Prob $$$

I noticed a Flynn Design sign hanging on the gate, so maybe they’ll get started soon

Great spot for that. There aren't many quality coffee places around Tulane/Loyola, especially towards Claiborne

I was actually being serious Coming from Earhart, this would be right along my way to work. The only other coffee places that I know of along my way are PJ's and Starbucks. The only decent ones I know of in the area are Mojos and French Truck, but those are both towards Napoleon

ETA: Neither of which is far from my work, but in morning traffic with school zones, frick that

I'm not talking about you.

I agree. I would end up at French Truck down the street but it's a pain to get to and get out of.
