Glad I could help. also watch for their boston butte sale often less than that and they will slice em up into ribs for ya for free.

Yeah I missed the recent sale of .98c lb. Found out after the fact. But about 6 months ago they had the same sale then a month later had another sale at .96c lb. I'm hoping they repeat that.

A few months ago I scored the boston buttes for .89 a lb. I bought 2 twin packs had one sliced into pork steaks and the other into strips. I still have a pack or 2 of each in the freezer they great so many different ways. We pretty much live on pork and chicken now adays with fish and game rounding out our diet.

Picked up my limit of 2 packs this afternoon. Some are set aside for the Instant Pot tomorrow and the rest are in the freezer thinking about what they did.
Thanks for the heads up, Ray.

Glad to help. We went to town and I stopped by and picked up 4 packs. Me and Peg in line so they didn't bat an eye when we got 4 they ran right at 5 lbs. 3 packs in the freezer and one in the fridge still trying to decide what to cook with it either pork and turnip stew or jambalaya

Lots of folks dont know it but pork and turnip stew is an ole Cajun dish. A neighbor gave us a big bunch enough for 2 meals. For those of you who dont know the secret to good smothered turnips I'll tell ya. When ya peel turnips ya have to remove the inner layer of white with the peeling. it can be seen when ya slice its a thin white layer under the skin of my biology remembers called the cambian layer, At any rate ya remove that with the peel and it takes away the strong flavor. The secret is to peel it thick.

I always wondered about that Captain. I know exactly what you’re talking about. Thanks for the tip!

This thread inspired me. Didn't get the .99 deal, but 1.49 wasn't bad either. My first long sous vide experience is in the works. I'll get about 20 hours at 142 and thinking they'll hit the grill or broiler tomorrow slathered in some sauce.
