Has anyone else tried these? I went today and took out a loan to purchase a few. They live up to they hype. Best damn apple ever.

Saw them at Sams. Picked them up to see what the hell they were. Saw some special descriptor saying I will spray bird juice all in my shorts. Thought, ok, wife hasn't been very friendly lately, so why not? Looked at the price. Put back on shelf, went into the bathroom for a quick pity hand crank and went home empty

The price will drop as trees begin to mature and produce more fruit. I would hold off for a few months unless you really want to try them.

I've been waiting 2 years since I heard about the apple. $3.99/lb wasn't a deal-breaker. They are worth it.

I’m more of a cosmic brownie guyPosted on 1/8/20 at 3:35 pm to tenfoe
Read an article a few weeks back about these new hybrids and how they will be game changers. I’m a huge Honey Crisp fan and they claim these new ones will be just as good and better.

I don't often laugh at Food Board posts, but that one got me.

Try the Autumn Glory. It’s like a caramel apple. I’ve been eating them like I’m going to the electric chair. Only place I’ve seen them is Sam’s. I haven’t seen the cosmic crisp but if I see them I’ll try them too.

Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods are the only places in Baton Rouge with them I think

I see they are part of the Domex Superfresh Growers I linked. A lot of the new ones are proprietary and they are not going to allow the trees to be sold.

Trader Joe’s does not have that as of 8 am

Tasted one from Whole Foods and I prefer honey crisp

Had them for the first time a week ago. Very good. They are a hybrid of honey crisp and Enterprise apples...have the crispness and sweetness of the honey crisp, and shelf life of an enterprise apple. Suppose to take over the apple industry, specifically red delicious. Bought them at 2.99/lb at Fresh Market in Lafayette.
