Opened about a month ago and I see a lot of people raving about it on facespace. Has anyone been there yet to comment on it? I’ll be in the area this weekend and may give it a try.

I passed it yesterday at lunch and the parking lot was full. Haven't been yet but I'm interested.

it's the same people that owned the Caribbean Joe cafe off Sherwood
they have some of the same items on the menu but added a bunch of other food as well plus they now have breakfast

their cubano and the tradewind fries are really good

Haven’t been but nothing lasts in that location so will be interested to see.

The parking lot is packed with overflow across & down the street.

Heard nothing but good things from Caribbean Joe's. I never got the chance to go. Good luck to them.

I went the first week it opened. Definitely needed a bit of time to figure things out. A lot of the menu items weren't available, but the jerk chicken skewers and curried shrimp were very good.

A lot of reviews complained about the wait time and the times it took for food to come out, I attribute that to being a new restaurant. I want them to succeed because Ascension needs more variety

I went last week and the service was great. I went early so it wasn't too busy yet though. However, I don't know how the parking situation won't hurt them. I don't think the parking lot can take enough cars to fill the restaurant. I tried to go a second time with some friends and we pulled in and right back out. Couldn't find anywhere to park for dinner so we left.

A lot of folks park in the lot across burnside and walk across 4 lanes of traffic

Because people in this area are INSANE about a new restaurant. They wanna go so bad just so they can say they went, or make a Facebook post. I use the old Tom Fitzmorris guideline - never eat a restaurant that hasn’t been open for at least six months.
