May be Cliche but Commanders is always nice for a special event.

The problem with ordering off those special menus is that for the discounted price you often don't get the restaurant's "real food" that you would look forward to ordering. The exception is usually the Pelican Club.

I always visit Cafe Degas for Coolinary. You may wish for a more dramatic dining experience for anniversary but it's quaint, romantic, and always makes me happy.

Commander’s is our favorite restaurant but they’re booked through the end of august so trying to go with another option. We’re more of the traditionalists who would go with a Brennan’s or Antoine’s etc, but have heard this board say great things about places like Costera and Sylvain.

Can't go wrong with Costera if Spanish cuisine interests you.
