Last question, I'm doing the oven, how long should it be in there, 25-30 mins?

I'm sure glad you're back today. This could turn out very entertaining, hoping Pizza Hut or Dominos doesn't end up bailing you out. I know you can do it although I would never use that pot to cook a jambalaya. I hope your meat is browned more than it appears in that photo.

Thanks I think?

I browned it pretty good, most of what you see in that photo is sausage, the chicken is nice and browned, what I lack in experience cooking jam I make up in eating experience so I know what it should look like

Well just pulled it out, looks pretty good!

It's a little bit lighter than perfect and next time I'll add more seasoning bc I like it spicy and its mild. But I'm happy for my first time!

that's about a perfect color, just missing some tomatoes.

Great job. Now you can write the Stainless Steel 316 Jambalaya recipe.

Glad it turned out. Dash of Crystal on your plate will give you a bit of spice.

Looks DAMN good for a first time jambalaya, and pretty impressive considering the pot you used and the novice level of skill you said you had.

You're already making your own notes about what you liked and didn't like, so the next one will only be better. Next thing you know, you'll have YOUR recipe.

Well done.

If you read all the tips, I say to count tomato product as liquid. (Except tomato paste, because it doesn't have much liquid.) I like jambalaya with tomato product, too, just not as much as brown jambalaya.

Truth here. You really made it risky for yourself by using that pot. But you did it! Congratulations.
