Going soon. What to expect? I know tons of food like 9 courses but how is the menu determined? do we tell them what to cook or they just serve us all the specials that night

Curious as well. Will follow this thread. How much was it for you to secure the reservation?

I haven’t been yet but i would imagine it’s like any other chef’s table. Generally it’s up to the chef’s whim, albeit they determine the menu before and/or based on your taste (if they ask for preferences on foods/styles of cooking) and is built to be a progressive tasting menu. I’d imagine if you have some dietary restrictions they will be more than willing to accomediate but I’ve never heard of a chef’s table that lets you decide what course/items from the normal menu you would like.

It’s a booth in the kitchen, they let you take your blazer off. You have the private courtyard bar to use. Take a break between courses at anytime. They will adjust for anyone. My wife didn’t like game so they adjusted that course. Desert cart is everything.

You will enjoy. I’ve done it with Jamie Shannon just before he left and later with Tory McPhail.

I’ve seen the actual table when walking through the kitchen and it looked like it was in a somewhat grimey area of the kitchen. Granted it was in the middle of the day and not set up for the chefs table but I left feeling disappointed. I’m sure it’s a different feel at night though once the area is more prepped.

ETA: I think the fact that it was a booth setup made it feel like a diner rather than a fancy dinner.

Oh once you sit down it’s fine. Have a drink. Relax. You will eat your arse off.

I don’t remember the price. Reasonable. About $125.00 person plus wine and they have a couple of different pairings. So maybe $200.00 or so with wine.

4 people only. No more, no less.

On par with others. Only thing I am not a fan of is only 4 people.

We spent at least $200 for my husband and I to just have regular lunch there so price seems fine lol
I had several drinks so that may have been with tax and tip but still seems reasonably priced

I was in there last week and 3 different men at different tables had either a golf shirt or a short sleeve button down on. Obviously theyre not as strict as they used to be.

I guess maybe with all of the competition they feel the need. I would never go without a blazer or sport coat. But I wear that most places for dinner anyway.

They’ll ask you before hand if anyone is allergic to anything. It’s a huge meal. Try not to eat much that day and definitely don’t drink before arriving. They start you off with a cocktail and then tons of wine and pallet cleansing shot somewhere in the middle. Some of the dishes we had were shrimp henican, stuffed quail, wagu beef, foie gras, red fish, scallop, gnocchi, and dessert bomb which is every dessert in the house. If there’s something you don’t love, my advice would be to skip it and save the belly room b/c you’ll need it.

Same here, and maybe it was the end of August when I went, during Coolinary.

As for the chef's table, enjoy. Youll be treated like royalty.

I did it a few years ago. It was absolutely awesome. The menu is predetermined you don’t get to pick what you want they cook it for you and bring it out

Chefs Table seems fun. We did wine tastings and food sampling there before our rehearsal dinner. There’s a lot going on in that kitchen.

I had a meal in the Wine Room. That was exceptional.
