I prefer my pizza cold and the next day, especially for breakfast. Not saying I don't like fresh hot pizza but I'd rather have wet socks than eat microwaved pizza for leftovers. Am I alone on this?

Id rather cold than microwaved but thats what toaster ovens are for. Or if I've got the time I re-heat on the pizza stone in the oven.

I reheat leftover pizza in a skillet, put a bit of water in the pan for steam, and then cover it. Takes about five minutes a slice, and is usually better than when I ate it fresh.

Eta...and yeah, I’d eat pizza cold vs reheating in a microwave.

Air fryer ain't nothing but a toaster oven with a fan. My Breville smart oven w/convection fan is as good as any air fryer, and it's not a weird shape, bulky to store, and fits a standard quarter sheet pan, 12" pizza pan, and regular loaf pan.

I throw leftover pizza in the microwave for 30-40 seconds, then throw it in the toaster oven. Straight to the toaster oven dries out the crust and makes it hard as a rock. The microwave prevents that from happening.

If you preheat the toaster oven to a higher temp, it will reheat just fine without drying out. Hard, dry baked goods are usually the result of too low a temp for too long a time. Higher temp, faster cook, less drying out.

I've tried that and the microwave>toaster oven works better, IMO.

You're doing it wrong then. Never use the nuke.

Cast iron pan on medium heat, put pizza slices in it, cover with foil and cook for about 3 minutes or so. The cast iron crisps up the crust, and the captured steam helps heat the cheese/meats up.

While yes, an air fryer is just a convection toaster oven, not all toaster ovens have a fan. I've always done my pizza in the toaster oven until I recently tried it in an air fryer I was gifted. Definitely thought it was better out of the air fryer.

Plan on consolidating some appliances and picking up a convection toaster oven soon. May have to check the Breville out.

I do this with small frozen pizzas. It does work well for fast cooks.

I like fresh hot pizza. I like cold pizza. Microwave pizza is flat awful.

Have you ever tried a hot cheese slice with cold cheese on top (aka cold cheese slice/ cold slice/ Long Island style)?
