The food wasn't anything special but I used to date a bartender at Damon's. I'd go there fairly often, play trivia and drink for free when I didn't have anything better to do.

Fuddruckers was a dream spot for a 13 year old who got dropped off at the movies. Covering a burger in nacho cheese and various other crazy shite.

Marble Slab
Many a nights ended there waiting for my parents or a friend's parents to pick us up after the movies.

Damon’s during Monday Night Football where you try to predict the next play using those trivia keypads was really fun.
Fuddruckers was a great burger with that toppings bar.

Thanks. I’ve added Damon’s to the list.

On the Border and Damon's were both good in their own right.
On the Border holds a special place in my heart because the night I banged a golden girl was started there. And Damon's also holds a special spot because my wife worked there. And the dollar margaritas were nice on a college budget.

I was part of the crew at Macaroni Grill when it first opened. That was a fun bunch of people there. They fired two or three managers in the first couple of months for hitting on waitresses.

I'm not sure they are still there. Didn't they tear several down to build a hotel?
I'd like to see that area improve again. They need to start with the property on the corner with Sullivans. The owners let that place go to shite.

Such an eyesore. Mid to late 2000’s you had fox and hound which was cool. I loved their Black Forest sandwich.

I was a regular at Fox and the Hound and Ringside @ Sullivans before I got old and had kids.
I wonder why they don't sell that place instead of letting it sit there half empty and remodeled?

Really weird how they haven’t touched it in years
I liked golden tee and shuffleboard there. They had a decent beer selection too.

They are purposely trying to run off all the tenants, so it can be knocked down and redeveloped. The hold up is some long term lease agreements ( I assume from Hooters and Sullivans, but unsure) If they can aggravate them enough and get those guys to cancel their lease it will be demolished.
quote:
It’s a black eye for a partnership that built its reputation on doing quality development. Scott Bankston, who is Hartley’s associate and manages the property, concedes the property has been problematic, and says the highest and best use for the 11-acre site is to demolish and redevelop it. But he says the partners cannot do that because of long-term lease agreements in place.

Grady's became Damon's. I don't remember Black Eyed Pea being there.

Forgive me for not being feeling bad that long term leases with two restaurants which do booming business is keeping something from being redeveloped. Seems to me you could work around Hooters and Sullivan's

On The Border. I only started going there in the last year or so they were open because I assumed it sucked. Girlfriend made me try it and I was surprised it wasnt bad. That signature queso kept me going back...
I've enjoyed Damon's in other states but for some reason the food here didnt seem as good. Also remember going to the bar and asking for a Fosters and being served a rather warm oil can. It was so weird I still remember it.
