Lafayette popeyes on s college in laffy has a buffet thats pretty good. Always filled with the types you would see at churches though
I love a good fried chicken buffet. There was a Churches buffet back in the day at the shell on nicholson near LSU that we would always hit up for lunch, mind altering substances were involved of course. Shame they closed that one down.

I honestly don't know what it is but the Popeye's on St. Charles around all the Muses streets is like 50 times better then any other Popeyes I've ever been too.
I think that is one of the ones that Al Copland's family owns. He lost control of the company but kept quite a few franchises. So it would make sense for it to actually be run right beacuse to the family it actually means something.

The Oil Center Popeyes was always good. I tried the Popeyes up here in 06 and was disappointed. Since then I have not been back.
I miss the biscuits and the goodness that is the gravy on those mashed potatoes.
Oh well, RIP Popeyes.

I had to do some work in ville platte and they had a popeyes buffet with "sweet heat wings." best fricking thing ever from popeyes. I have never seen those again.

Did not know this but that would make sense. The one in Kenner off Williams is just god awful. I almost got ya'll a "fastfood restaurnt brawl" video from this one over Mardi Gras this past year.

I only eat Popeyes at select locations through out the NOLA area.
I do not eat Popeyes outside the city, ya'll don't know how to do it elsewhere sorry
I haven't eaten Church's chicken in 20 years and have no plans to do so, esp since they serve only dark meat

and hands down, the nest popeyes is the one on transcontinental near w. esplanade. its their national training store, so the employees are better, and its also a store where they test new items before they go out to every store

Their pieces are so much bigger (or at least used to be) than Popeyes it is not eve funny.
You have to remember, large parts of our country are used to only salt and pepper. They don't like hot spicy food or food with taste.
I bet lots of people don't even try Popeyes for fear it will be too hot.
As we all know, just like there are only a certain amount of notes the human ear can take in at once, the same can be said for the palate.
Or at least that is what the King told Mozart in Amadeus.

According to a new poll of the BET audience. People prefer pigs feet over filet mignon.
Even on the Food Board.
Nice.

The initial taste test was mostly caucasiain and Popeye's won. But then they re-nigged and got a more diverse group of samplers.

holy crap i'm not reading this thread but the premise is completely ignorant.
no fast food chicken beats popeyes. NONE. especially fricking church's. next you'll be saying that crap at bojangles is better than popeyes.
