We're taking brisket and pistolettes (for little sandwiches), and a couple of different sweets to BIL's house. Not sure what anybody else will be bringing.

Decided to do some crawfish étouffée to go atop a prime fillet for her and a fat loin chop for me. Grilled asparagus and corn Maque choux. Oysters rock, BBQ shrimp and a cheese plate for starters. Wine, whiskey and dirty martinis.

Spinach and arugula salad with mushrooms, red onion and bacon, along with a hearty French Onion soup. It's a family tradition.

A 7 pound bone in ribeye with a thyme + Bordeaux wine reduction sauce.

For our sides we had roasted asparagus topped with garlic powder, cracked pepper, and Parmesan cheese .... accompanied with garlic mashed potatoes and corn maque choux.
