"Chipotle Mexican Grill will launch a burger concept this fall called Tasty Made in Lancaster, Ohio, the company announced Thursday. "Making only burgers, fries and shakes with really great ingredients we think we can appeal to peoples’ timeless love of burgers, but in a way that is consistent with our long-term vision," Chipotle founder Steve Ells said."

"Chipotle is likely launching a new brand to try and recoup losses from its namesake brand.

The company's sales have plunged over the last several months following E. coli outbreaks that affected restaurants in 14 states."

Chipotle doesn't serve chipotle peppers.
Tasty Made won't serve tasty made burgers, fries and shakes.

Went to a couple's wedding shower last weekend. It was poolside fiesta themed (Dos Equis and Margaritas).

Food came from Chipotle and it was all very good. They provided everything necessary including napkins, plates, forks and knifes etc. (some places don't do that apparently).

Only one guy got sick. But he is a major pusscatore.

I don't hate them. I just think they are full of shite. They are holier-than-thou hypocrites who try to emulate the very companies they claim to be an alternative to.

Ells is a douche, my wife used to watch America's Next Great Restaurant and I wanted to punch that guy every time. Everything had to be handheld with him.

uhhhhhhh

If they are trying to provide an alternative, doesn't it make sense that they would want to make it as similar as possible?

Can you get them to serve the E. coli on the side?

You have to request it on the side, otherwise they just flop it on top.

"Chipotle had 16 restaurants (all in Colorado) when McDonald's Corporation became a major investor in 1998. By the time McDonald's fully divested itself from Chipotle in 2006, the chain had grown to over 500 locations."

Why? Didn't Jack in the Box already corner the E. coli burger market?

Yes and they actually killed people. But I think with a little practice, Chipotle could be just as good or better than JintheBox at killing people.
