Any places worth a crap these days?

Sounds about right, Canton City was my go-to. Everything else that I can think of is Chinese buffet.

Not a whole lot in regards to Chinese in Lafayette.
My SIL's boyfriend mentioned that China One was decent, but I haven't tried it.

Chinese cuisine is very much lacking in Lafayette. You need to slide over a cuisine and order take out from Bankok Thai, Saigon Noodles, etc.

Our Thai is good.
Or Vietnamese is good, but sorely lackign a decent Bahn Mi. (Blue Basil only has one as an app, and the meat sucks)
Our Chinese food options suck. You simply cannot buy a decent steamed dumpling in town. You want roast duck? You have to go to the freaking Asian Market to get one. Every Chinese restaurant in town is a buffet with the exception of the fast-food stations like Hot Wok.
