Chinese Rec In Houston

Let me preface this post by saying I’m sorry because I can’t find Chinese recs in Houston in the search on my cell phone and I’ve read them on here before. I am at the Galleria school shopping for my kids. I’m sick of the generic Chinese I seem to stumble up in all across the south. Any good places someone can point me to in Houston? I can always find good Vietnamese and Korean but the Chinese side of Asian food is hard to find. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

Arco Seafood has good Peking duck and dim sum.
Mala Sichaun Bistro is good.

If you don't feel like making the trek to Chinatown, Wanna Bao in Midtown is another place to consider in addition to Cooking Girl & Pepper Twins.

quote:Here's a tip I use to find past food/city posts on TD: Google the phrase (food, type, restaurant, etc) NEAR (city) SITE:TIGERDROPPINGS.COM . The results tend to be sorted by date, which is helpful.

For example, Chinese near Houston site:tigerdroppings.com returned the thread with The Egg's long post as the first link.
Enjoy.
