I make some good chilli! I have always put beans in, and the portobellos first got added a few years ago. They are good in there!
Not going to argue about some of my recipes needed some guidance though....

first it's blanched frozen whole crawfish from the ditch in your yard boiled in Old Bay.Now, it's chili with mushrooms and, lawd forbid, beans.

I don't know if we can. He may be too far left for that.
If TiA makes gumbo and it's edible, anyone can be hepped, though.

Every time I post a recipe or a method of cooking, I cringe wondering if the way I do it is a no-no. I can be influenced to try new things, don't know if I can be convinced to change something that produces a tasty outcome.

Keep on keeping on! When it comes to chilli, beans or no beans, ground or chunk, etc will be debated until the end of time. Make it like you and your consumers like!

I make the "dump soup" but call it taco soup and we like it fine but it is not chili.
Dawg- I commit board sins too but I don't care

I have lots of teenagers so I get made fun of for always making "all american" meals. We eat alot of roast, meatloaf, tacos, chicken, etc.

The shame of it all....

Wow, I had no idea people from Georgia were Ch-illiterate. Those are the worst 2 chili recipes that didn't come off a cream of mushroom can that I have ever seen.
No offense, I hope.

Some folks need to turn the sarcasm meters back on.

I was not being serious. More of a dig at rohan2. Also I make my chili with mexene recipe most of the time. And I put black beans in it because I like beans>meat.

Beans and chili should never be mentioned in the same sentence. This one excluded.

Same, all this over adding beans in chili? That's how my mom did it, and I love it. Tastes amazing and I'm not about to tell someone the way they cook a dish they have perfected is wrong.
My in laws make soupy chili that they add stale cornbread too. I think it looks like barf, but they think it's the best thing in the world. Go them.
