This was a first attempt at a slightly different take on a classic chicken pot pie. I have to say it turned out pretty darn good. Slow Sunday night so thought I would share.

Ingredients for the filling:

Biscuits ready to go:

All the vegetables in the pan:

Vegetables with the broth and cream:

With the biscuits included:

Out of the oven:

Here's the final product:

IWEI

My version starts with a rich stock, includes potato, and has a lot less celery.

Thanks for sharing.

Looks awesome. Must be a southern chicken pot pie because the ones I’ve had don’t look like that. Nice dish.

Is it possible to use less than zero celery?

Maybe I should include some celery next time, I've never made one before.

I can now see that it's broccoli. I'll allow it.

Oh yes, that's a good catch. I should have clarified that. I used broccoli instead of peas due to some of the people eating the dish not liking peas.

I’ve wanted to make one like this for a while but my kids love the traditional pie crust version

Looks good IWEI

I did a chicken pot pie recently. I used Pepperidge Farms pastry shells instead of biscuits or pie crust. It was put standing. Great crust to filling ratio.

We called that chicken ala king. I definitely eat it.

Looks good, I would destroy it. My wife makes a version of pot pie with biscuits as well, sometimes she dices up a turnip and puts it in with the veggies too

Slight hijack.

Is that a quartz countertop? If so, how do you like it?

It is quartz. Really like it, but I will say that the white can be an issue. Things like red wine can get into it and stain quickly. It can be removed with some goo gone and a little elbow grease, but it’s a little annoying.

That's what I was wondering. I'm looking at something very similar to yours and I've heard the staining is an issue.

Yeah, it looks great but can be a bitch to maintain at times.

So there's no sealant to prevent that?

Are there any stains that you haven't been able to get out?

There might be a sealant out there, I don't know. Never really looked into it. If there is and you find it, let me know.

But no, there has yet to be a stain that I couldn't get out with some Goo Gone and the rough side of a sponge.

I just started the search for new counters and appliances so I'm still in the research phase. I was just curious to see if there was a spill or something I missed if it would come out after it sits there for 10 or 12 hours.
