I don’t see the issue if it was frozen, was it still cold in am? shite in college I was frying turkeys and they weren’t fully thawed.... I put them in the bathtub. Nobody got sick

That’s what I do with meat probably 5 days a week, set it out to thaw it out overnight, season it in the morning then stick it in the fridge until the afternoon.
