Who's got it? I'm having a tough time finding a local place that has it.

Just keep driving to Baton Rouge and hit up Stockyard Cafe by the old bridge. Bring cash.

I looked at their website bc I thought I remember a buddy always ordering it at Tope La. They do have it. I'm not an expert, but it says they use pork. I don't know if that's normal, but my buddy claims it's the best in town.

Tope La has chicken fried steak that is a pork medallion with a non traditional sauce. It’s really good but reminds me more of schnitzel. Berrytown Produce has CFS as an option for plate lunches on Tuesdays but I haven’t tried theirs. Mariners will usually have CFS as a special about once a month, but again haven’t tried it.

Despite what any coonarse on this board says, there isn't a friggen chicken fried steak anywhere east of the Sabine River that is worth the caloric intake you will sacrifice for it. They can cook the shite out of any thing else, but no, just no...

never said I can cook one, but I know when they suck and when they don't. Besides after my BBQ shrimp beat down I took, it'll be a while before I share anything.

They list it on their menu as their take on chicken fried steak, but yes it's really more of a schnitzel.
