Chef tables in Houston

Hello all- I’m looking to take my wife out for our anniversary in Houston. She’s a big foodie and I know she would love the chef table experience. Can anyone give me some suggestions? I know some are not offering this service right now so just hoping for a little help maybe for someone local.

Yeah...I doubt anyone is doing a chef's table right now...most of our restaurants are still operating with limited menus.
Just find a halfway decent spot to get a reservation at...Bludorn, Ostia, Squable, UBPreserv, One Fifth, Rosie Cannonball, Nancy's Hustle, Eunice, Nobie's

Thanks for the response. I figured it was going to be a challenge but it was worth a shot.

Going to be in town for Halloween weekend. One night I’m doing dinner at Eunice - for the other which would you choose between Nancy’s Hustle and Nobies?

It wont be a true chef's table, more like an omakase, but at Uchi you can just tell your waiter you want to spend $X budget and they will ask some questions about likes and dislikes and then let the chefs run with it. I've done it many times and its always a fantastic experiece.
Its also BYOW for a $20 cork fee, which is impossible to find at a restaurant of that caliber.

Personally I’d go nobies. I love the vibe, great food. Use to live down the street so that was nice too
Only been to NH back in March right before the world shut down actually the night of Utah jazz deal.

Damian’s Cucina Italia. It is literally in the kitchen and you have to walk through the middle of the kitchen to get to it. They will also let your wife wear a chefs hat while helping sauté a couple of meals with the chefs. The overall experience is awesome and you’ll be there for a couple of hours. Highly recommended yet not very well-known.
State of Grace also has an awesome chef’s table where there was really no menu, they just keep serving you food but it is a fixed price and I believe it is around 150 bucks per person. There are only five or six chairs and you sit right where the chefs cook food and they just give you samples of pretty much everything that comes out, it is more of a tapas experience but they’ll sit there and talk to you all day. Also a very cool experience!!

My entire family loves State of Grace. And we have twin 11 year olds. My wife is a culinary teacher. Fantastic restaurant.

I have a reservation for Ostia on Saturday. We might try state of grace tonight. How is Ostia?

We haven’t been. Moved about an hour away of Houston this summer. Haven’t gotten into town as much with the move and the whole death disease crap.
