From everything I'm hearing and reading, it sounds like it just might make you forget ever thinking Company Burger was an expensive place for a burger.

I agree. They better be flexible, because the novelty will wear off soon. For those prices, they need to be sending out top shelf food with good service. Sadly, both were lacking.

Yeah, after reading the review I doubt it as well.

This, I would never complain about paying $12 for a burger fries and drink after seeing how much dem burgers cost.

Wow that's a hell of a write-up Brah. Thanks for covering all the bases. I'm glad we are getting so much feedback from people who have been there.

oh great...

quote:

I uncovered my burger for a quick analysis, it fell victim to one of my greatest pet peeves. Terrible bun to burger ratio, I must have had 4-5 bites with no meat. The burgers were not very big for the big price tag, if you arrive very hungry, order a side.

god that is fricking obnoxious

quote:

The cheese was pretty good but added very little in terms of taste, it was more to moisten the burger. IMHO. The boar’s bacon amounted to fewer than a few sprinkles, no full strips and barely detectible in any bite. The spinach, tomato and spicy mayo were well proportioned to my liking and added nice flavor to the burger. Now to the beef: as stated, I ordered the bison burger medium rare, it arrived somewhere between medium well and well done. I would have been well within my rights to return the burger, but it was nearly 10 pm and I was tired. There were bites that were inedible due to extreme dryness, and at some point I gave up.

whew this is damning right here. you're charing in the double digits for a burger you need to know how to cook them without all these flaws .. and do it consistently.

None of the bevy of new burger joints, save for High Hat and Company Burger, can manage to put out a consistent product.

I'd say Cowbell too. I actually put them right behind Hi Hat as my favorite burger in the city with Company being 3rd.

And although I don't really care for Tru Burger all that much, the 3 times I've been they were putting out the same, pretty decent, product.

I forgot about Cowbell, that's a top three for me as well.

Tru, IMO, has always been decent, but never anything special.

agreed all around. I think I am going to try Charcoal's for lunch today or tomorrow. want to experience it first-hand, but not wasting a weekend meal on it.

Should have called you. We ended up eating so damn late, you could have made it.

Definitely a week day spot. It's worth a try.
If a place has the highest price tag, it carries with it certain expectations. I refuse to pay a premium for a hamburger that isn't superior to it's competitors.

No worries. I probably would've just gotten into another argument with gluten-free babe.

I enjoy trying new burger joints, but when it comes down to it.. it's a hamburger. Just give me the diner style on a griddle with melted yellow cheese, pickles and mustard for $5 from Dearman's and I'm all set.

Around the same time this past Wednesday.

ETA: I'd have to say that we enjoyed our experience more than your review indicates for yours. Our server wasn't "gushing", but he was a nice enough guy and informative when we asked questions. The entry is a little odd, but not enough to bother me that much.

As I said, my bison was cooked just right for me (when it comes to burgers only) . . . somewhere between medium rare and medium.

I had a $18 Kobe beef burger on the mountain here in Breck. They cook the shite out of it and the bun was stale. Wish I had a charcoal's burger instead.
