anyone checked out this place yet?

A friend from grade school opened it up and a couple of us are going for lunch?

I went last week. It was pretty good, I wouldn't say it's as good as Bread & Circus pizza, but we'll definitely go back due to the different atmosphere. It's a bit loud in there, but I really like the atmosphere.

ETA: Also, I heard there was a 2.5 hour wait last night. Not sure if it'll be crazy like that for lunch, but good luck.

Went last Saturday night. It was good not great. Def go expecting a wait. Good/different atmosphere. Waitress had a nose ring and wasn't wearing a bra so it def has a hipster vibe which it seems they were going for.

Pizza sucked as a leftover the next day so

ETA: If I'm looking for the best pizza in Laffy they def aren't on the list. But it was a good spot, will go back.

Also, Saw aguy there I know and he had been 3 times that week, so some people def love it.

Curious who owns it? Someone told me the same guy who has Pops does.

We went during the week and might go again after Downtown Alive tonight if the crowd isn't too bad.

We had the fresh mozzarella ball & pita bread as an app and it was pretty good, though I expected the mozzarella to be warm. Loved the wood-fired pita bread.

All the pizzas are the same size(15" I think the girl said), we got the smokeshow pizza, which was smoked sausage, chicken, jalapenos, and pineapple and it was really good. I wish the crust was just a little thicker but that would be about it. Seems like the wood oven added a little smoke flavor to the pizza and pita bread.

Cocktail list looked good, and they had a few taps that sounds like they'll be regularly rotated. They had Jucifer on tap so I just stuck with that.

I would agree with this after eating it. Loved the atmosphere in there and it was loud with all the concrete like you said.

The fact that so many of you act like queens about hipster is confusing. Hipsters open good restaurants, coffee shops, bars, breweries, etc. I'd much rather an influx of them into my town than a bunch of rednecks.

Plenty of dumb rednecks in Acadiana.

I agree. My wife and I talk about this, neither of us are hipsters or even closely resemble hipsters. But, all of our favorite places are hipster havens. Hipsters have good restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and breweries.

Most rednecks in Acadiana are not farmers. They work offshore or in a shop, live with their parents, listen to Florida-Georgia Line, drink Michelob, and use their paychecks to pay their F250 car note and comply with child support for Brayleigh and Jaxston. Hipsters who run, work, and open places like Reve, Dat Dog, Wurst, Central, Parish, Pop's, Saint Street Inn, etc. >>> rednecks.
