CCBBQ - Cruse (Crawfish from Arabi) left

Just wanted to drop an update that James Cruse aka Crawfish from Arabi is no longer at CCBBQ. He quit despite what management there might say. Also, since he has left the quality has dramatically declined.
He will prob chime in here at some point with what he is up to. His Hogs crew is called Fire & Spice.

How so? Eat there once every month or so and had it last week and it was good as usual. Burnt ends were a little dry but that’s being picky

Totally unrelated but who was the BBQ guy that came on here yelling at everyone because they said his food sucked? Chef Rob or something like that?

What's up guys? Yes, it's true, I left there at the beginning of December. I was a partner and the pitmaster. I sold my part back in October, and resigned on December 1st. I had been wanting to leave for months, but didn't want to leave them hanging, and helped train their new pit staff. During that time I was negotiating offers from Deep South Blenders and Louisiana Pepper Exchange. I took the offer from DSB, and I'm their National Sales Manager in bulk spices, seasonings, blends, rubs, custom blends, etc.
I am more than appreciative of the opportunity, and my time at CCBBQ. We had a lot of fun, met a bunch of people, and did some good things in my 3.5 years there. I will always look back at the positives. As far as what they're doing now, I'm not sure what their future holds, and can only hope that they continue what I taught there.
I'm still going to do competitions, bbq events, festivals, and classes. My new team at Hogs is Fire & Spice, which consists of my guys that I won the world championship with, Stalekracker, Erica Blair (winner of BBQ Brawl on FN), and a handful of other chefs, youtube people, and just some good dudes. Stop by and say hi.
I will also have a line of bbq products coming out at some point.
I'll probably get back to being more active on here, so feel free to chat bbq anytime.

happy that you’re happy but that’s disappointing as a customer. Your BBQ was the best we’ve ever had in town.

The pit master at a BBQ restaurant is the guy. Guys like James don’t put up with mediocre BBQ.
