People.com reports that despite a guest appearance by John Besh — who is under fire for allegedly enabling a culture of sexual harassment at his restaurant group — Iron Chef Showdown will air as planned. Besh serves as a guest judge on one episode of the new take on the classic Iron Chef format. The series will air on Food Network on November 8th, as planned.

A sexual harrasment story in the middle of a wave of them? Plenty of people care.
I'm sure food Network ran the numbers and what they make after whatever they may lose in viewers for this episode will still be enough to cover the cost of producing the show.

When everyone comes out of the woodwork to claim harassment, it tends to water down the perceived legitimacy.

The factual basis is irrelevant to the popularity of the story. Sexual harrasment is the hot topic right now whether or not each allegation is true.
