Casual/kid friendly Asheville recommendations

Pretty straight forward request, will be in Asheville area for a week and just need a few kid friendly/casual places to eat.
Not really concerned about my daughter acting up, mostly about kid friendly menu, as like most 5 year olds, she isn't really apt to trying new things, especially in unfamiliar settings.
Also, any recommendations for farmer's market in the area? We will be in a cabin about 30 minutes outside of Asheville, so I would like to be able to buy some fresh stuff to be able to cook a few nights.

People haul kids around everywhere there. Even the breweries are kid friendly. That said, my kids like the food at Tupelo Honey.
Not really a farmers market but the French Broad co-op has all kinds of fresh local foods and hippie things.

Almost every restaurant in Asheville is kid, dog and vegan friendly. Like the poster above, Tupelo Honey is one of my favorites and there are always families eating there. New Belgium liquid center (tasting area) will always have a food truck which has menu items for children.

My kids liked Tupelo Honey cafe, and my youngest (she was 10 when we visited) still talks about Wicked Weed having her favorite mac and cheese ever.

Wedge Brewing (food trucks), Wicked Weed, Sierra Nevada.
Where are you staying 30 minutes out? I can tell you other places close by if I know.

Pretty much everywhere I went seemed kid friendly.
Check out Asheville Brewing Co. great pizza, and good brews.
Sierra Nevada is amazing. A beer nerd's Disney. Plus there's an area for kids and an open organic garden to walk through with them.

Well, shite, that's the one area I don't know hardly at all. Stayed SW (many times), SE, and NE of Asheville, but never out that way. I was going to point out some food stands I know, but you will likely run across them anyway. Stop and get fresh peaches, beans, bacon/ham, and whatever else.

Interesting. I wasn't sure how many breweries I would be able to convince my wife to go to, but if there is stuff for our daughter to do, and if I can frame it around the food instead of beer, I might be able to convince her.
I'm still struggling on whether or not I want to go to the Funkatorium. Damn morals.

I went before the sell out, but if you haven't been, you sort of need to go check it out.

Yeah, it isn't exactly in typical areas, but we booked this kinda late, so most of the good cabins in the mountains were already booked.
It's a pretty sweet cabin though. Very isolated on like 50 acres.

If you’re into beer / hiking try to work Morganton into your trip for Fonta Flora and the parks up that way.
