Guess we know why he didn't need the business.

Well daddy’s rich and he’s privileged so - think he’s going to help cook at the soup kitchen or skiing in Aspen?

Beyond that, his wife is an MD. He's got more than enough to support him when his restaurant inevitably closes.
I've eaten there once and I cannot imagine that place surviving at 25% capacity. It's intimate to say the least.

Not enough business? Did they say why?

Plus losing all the bar seating.
He apparently owns the building so the overhead was probably pretty low.
When going out he said that the stimulus money took care of his employees....which was an odd statement to me.

Lost the passion. No longer wanted to serve the public.

Interesting timing.

He probably made the decision to shutdown a while back. They weren't open for pretty much all the pandemic.
Went out with a bang which seems like his style.

Yea, that $600 is really gonna make a fricking difference. I knew this guy was a retard, but damn.

He couldn't announce closure months ago for two reasons.
1. It would be seen as leaving his employees blowing in the wind
2. He needs to be seen as caring for the downtrodden especially after gaining notoriety for being obstinate towards the conservative blue hairs.

Tamir Rice was 12 years-old?

So in 7 days he went to being "passionate" about cooking and relating to the people, to "i hate the people"?
Sounds like the "go woke go broke" model didn't turn out the way he thought, so now he's gonna fall back on daddy's money.
