I thought the Boudin was really good but I am not a connoisseur. I tried a sample they had cooked up.

This may sound stupid but I like the bread just slightly toasty but everything inside to be cold. That’s a tall order for most places to pull off but I have had it. It’s just a matter of putting it under a high broiler very quickly.
Not stupid. I just like the olive mix to be cold and everything else to be hot.

The boudin is legit. I bought some Italian sausage as well but haven't tried it.

I stopped by today and got a muffuletta and some boudin.
Both were good and I especially like their olive salad mix. I did notice that the meat to bread ratio was a little low on the muff. It also had a little spice to it, which was nice. Overall, a good sandwich.
Their drink case was a little unexpected, kombucha and energy drinks are not the usual to find in an Italian grocery store.

There's always parking at the Planned Parenthood clinic next door and there's a shared parking lot with Rocca's in back.

the muffs are the best in BR! They heated mine... Their boudin is the best I've ever tried. I also enjoy all the specialty cheeses and prepared foods. And I'm glad I bought some Mr. Grant's seasoning...It's a good flavor profile and not overly salty. I've been there 4 times and is getting really busy. A GREAT addition to Mid-City!!!
Hey Mr Cannatella

I guess I will have to go today and try it.

Got lunch there yesterday. Split a meatball po-boy and a muffaletta with my wife. The muffaletta was OK, although it could have used more meat and cheese. The bread was tasty. The meatball po-boy was very good with a nice red sauce. It's not quite as good as Anthony's, but it's closer to my house and I think a little cheaper. The only other hot item they sold was a boudin po-boy. Grocery wise, they have a lot of cheeses, sausages and prepared sauces. I imagine they will add more items as they get established.

I tried the boudin today, and it was pretty solid. I will be back.

I’m a sucker for a good muffalatta. I was driving through Melville and saw a building that said Cannatella’s “one good muffalatta” written on the side. I had to stop and they weren’t wrong. lol
I will have to make a point and stop at the BR location and give it a try.

I don’t even know how to drive through Melville.
thanks for everyone’s reports. Would like to know about the red gravy and Italian sausage.

Was let down by the boudin, this thread had me pumped for it.
Muffaletta was good, though prefer my muff a little more oily.

Well, I’ve been out of the loop apparently.
Went yesterday and tried the muffuletta and it was really good. Bread was great and it had that warm outside with the cold meat and olive mix in the middle. Wife (no pics) had a meatball sandwich. I took a bite and it was an excellent meatball.
Will definitely be back.

Give their italian beef sandwich a try as well. Mighty tasty.

Glad they have an oven now.
Cool, because they have had it since they opened.
I had the Porchetta I think it was called last week. Oh my God, that might be my favorite sandwich in BR. It's not huge but it was incredible.
