At a good price?
I'm looking to pick one up in the 50lb to 60lb range. I'm roasting it in a Lacajachina.
So far, the best quote I have is 5.99/lb.

What does he need clothes for? Taking him to church on Sunday?

Ok, fine. Hanging weight. Whatever.
Help a homie out here.

Dressed is the correct term. They are never cheap and always more than pork. Last year, I paid around $3 a pound. $6 seems high, but with today’s economy, it may be the correct price.

Thanks for that.
Would you know where on the Northshore to get a pig at a decent price?

You can try Scariano and see if they sell to the public. They should be the cheapest. Associated Grocery stores can order them if you ask the store.
FYI - for no other reason than to share information - They are usually labeled piglet or whole suckling pig or some combination of those words. Dressed refers to how they are cut. So technically, you’re getting a whole suckling pig, dressed.

That's helpful. As is the proper nomenclature.

Would you per chance know if anyone has gotten a pig here before and if so, were they happy with it?

So I asked the officer, “what do I do?”
He said, “why don’t you take that pig to the zoo?”
And you know, I did and we had so much fun, I’m gonna take him to a ball game.
