Take them to Acme. They have a sampler plate that comes with gumbo, jambalaya and red beans and rice. They get a little bit of everything they think of when they think cajun food.

For the best seafood (and Cajun-related food) around:
Duke’s Seafood and Steakhouse in Denham.
Their gumbo is by far the best this side of Prejean’s in Lafayette.

Whoever said Drusilla, please tell me you’re joking. Also Dukes gumbo is good but Dons is better. Duke’s doesn’t use large fresh shrimp for frying. They look like popcorn shrimp you get in the frozen food section

In New Orleans, it is my experience that most visitors who ask for Cajun food are really looking for Creole food which is much easier to find.

Screw that place. They use Asian catfish and probably foreign shrimp as well.
