I cleaned the little fryer(T-Fal)and put fresh new oil in it so what better time to do some crepes(fried canned biscuits)?
Good with powdered sugar or dipped in syrup.

Prefer to make a glaze with powdered sugar and condensed milk and drizzle that on them

Mom would whip these up for us when we were kids. She would roll them up, cut them into diamonds and put a hole in the middle. We would toss them in a Schwegmann bag full of powdered sugar.

So.friggin.good!!!

My mom made these too and called them grand pâte (sp?).

Sometimes she made them with canned biscuits, but she would also make a homemade biscuit/beignet type dough.

Delicious.

I need to make these one day for our kids.

I made these almost exactly two years ago when I spent the night at my parents’ house. It was storming so bad that I ran out back to get the dog from his covered pen, because I was worried he’d be afraid.

The next morning, I treaded 3ft of water to get to my vehicle which we had to move to higher land in the night. House ended up taking on 5 feet of water.

Haven’t had them since. They were damn good while making though.

If I recall correctly, you have chocolate sprinkles on the bottom right, wedding cake to the left of that, cereal and milk above it, mint chocolate chip, maple brown sugar, and Reese's.

Very nice!
When my granddaughter sleeps over I usually get doughnuts for breakfast the next morning. Time for me to introduce her to fried canned biscuits!

Last weekend she fund an extra Ruhlman's Twenty cookbook I had and wanted it. I let her have it and during the week she and her mom made homemade pizza from one of the recipes. They all loved it! I'm proud of her!!!!!!!! Lol.......

Wow, no I remember that my dad called them grand pate too!

My mom, who is a nazi about grammar hated that he called them that. It must be some idiom.

Anyone ever tried rolling them in cinnamon sugar? We usually do half and half of the batch in either that or powdered sugar.

We made these quite a bit growing up. We just called them beignets. Can stuff slices of banana in them before frying as well.
