Anyone know if there are any deals out there. I think Costco has Prime for $3.49lb.

walmart has it for like $3.19 but when you compare the packers to coscto..
i would go with costco but i hear from time to time that super-targets have deals on whole briskets.

Your local grocers will have a link on their webpage to the weekly sale flyers. I would check those out.

Me too, I picked one up a few years ago for .99 a pound and it had one of those instant $5 off stickers on it. Well I got a few other things and thought everything was super cheap when I paid for everything. When I got home I looked at the receipt and the cashier only scanned the $5 off coupon and not the actual price of the brisket. So basically Target gave me $5 to take a brisket off their hands.

Flipp has all the circulars. . There’s even an app. I usually base my weekend menu on what’s on sale locally.
ETA: New York Strip loin seems to be this week’s deal.

Thanks for the app info! First I'd heard of it.

My local butcher (Piggly Wiggly) has mark down every morning. Either the wife or I go by there once a week early in the morning to load up on mark downs. This morning the wife got some 1/2 price waygu, lamb chops, and waygu sirloin burgers. Good times.

Piggly Wiggly and Waygu? I would have never guessed that. Where do you live?

Cahaba Heights. The Piggly Wiggly here is the best supermarket butcher I've ever seen. They dry age in-house and carry a range of waygu and grass fed options. I've yet to see their waygu brisket marked down, but I look anxiously every time I go in there!
And for the haters, waygu is worth the price difference. Waygu is 10x better than prime IMO.

I picked up this hunk of meat yesterday. Gonna throw it on tomorrow evening to take over to a friends place for the UW / Michigan game.
Wish I could've gotten it for $3.49. Oddly enough the flats were selling for quite a bit more per pound. I honestly don't understand that, unless have far less to trim so you're getting more meat per pound?
Will report back with pics.

You'd never find Waygu at a Piggly Wiggly here in Baton Rouge lol! I agree with you Waygu is life changing. I've been getting mine from Tremonte's here in town they carry Snake River Farms.

correct. the flats are always much more expensive since you're not paying for that huge layer of fat on the backside of a packer or the fat marbling in the point.

That's crazy to me, because you're also not getting that sweet sweet point

Dang. No Rouses or Robert's on that app. Those two are my go to for convenience.
