Is it just a coffee table book? Saw it displayed at Rouse’s today.
I don’t use hardbacks much anymore but like to hold a few classics. Should I find room for this one?

IMO, definitely worth it. This is Frank's first cookbook, which has over 150 recipes, 350+ pages. He is a James Beard award winner who trained under Paul Prudhomme at Commander's and K-Paul's before opening his own restaurant. 50 plus years of cooking experience. His restaurant is one of the best in the city, and he is a 100% genuine, real good guy.

Saw it today, might be a good Christmas present.
I will say the best cookbook I own is "Real Cajun" by Donald Link.

I don't know which chef Folse or Lagasse is more to blame for starting the trend of giant "coffee table" Louisiana cook books aka "door stops". I admit that he Eastern European printing and production are usually quite good. I'm supportive and buy them. Do not give as gifts to small apartment dwellers.
Brigtsen's is where I take visitors who want to experience NOLA cuisine. Sorry that Dante's Kitchen across the street didn't last.

I have Link's book. IMO, it's good but i prefer John Besh's cookbooks better. My family's table and my new orleans are both really good.
