It’s my favorite restaurant in Lafayette, my wife and I go weekly.
The garlic knots, Italian hot pot, and eggplant hummus are all fantastic apps. Our favorite pizza is the Beesting, followed by the Speck and Mozz, and the Margherita. If you’re looking for something outside of pizza the Ossobuco and Gnocchi are both very good.

we enjoyed the artichoke app. the pizza was excellent. while we had pizza the table next to us raved about the chicken entree.

Oh and I forgot to mention that they have great cocktails, too. Burnt Whiskey Sour is my favorite.

I haven't been for dinner in a while but pizza is very good. They used to make a ramen that was excellent as well

No, not close. Central is closer to Sbarro sold in malls than it is to the B&C pizza, IMO.

So we ordered the Eggplant Hummus and Margherita Pizza. It was good, but nothing spectacular.

I'm not really comparing it to anything because it's just a different pizza. It was good, but I wouldn't say great. Deanos is our regular pizza joint fwiw.

It's just different than most pizza around here. If you're not used to wood fired pizza, or expected it to be a similar style to Deanos I could see why you were disappointed.
