It appears that during that re-imagining of Bistro Byronz into Brasserie Byronz, the management has decided to change the recipe for the Vodka Freezes. They have moved to a fresh juice recipe instead of the traditional Tom Collin’s mix.

Very disappointing, they now taste like bootleg margaritas instead of the previous version. Use this information as you will.

What did they say when you asked about it?

They told us the information above. There wasn’t any other explanation given.

Seems like this belongs in the First World Problem of the Day thread on the OT.

Fresh juice instead of a mix sounds like an upgrade

So you prefer a premade mix vs fresh juice?

The takeaway is that it’s different and doesn’t taste like a Byronz Vodka Freeze. It wasn’t promoted or marketed as being different. If you order chicken fried steak and then they bring out a filet, sure it might be better but is it what you ordered or wanted? Sort of like how I like Taco Bell and authentic Mexican, they are not mutually exclusive.

I want what I want; if I wanted innovation or “improvement,” I’d make it at home or go somewhere else. World ending problem? Not at all, just filling in those that go to Byronz.

To be clear, the predominant thought in this thread is that random, unadvertised ingredient changes are welcomed when they materially affect the flavor of the food or drink.

I ordered A and they brought out B, it’s not that hard.
