If I recall correctly, LaPedigo's was where Mason's was. Pedigo's was the original location off of Tom.
My grandfather owned a bar supply business back there and part of my pay was a bacon cheesburger and pitcher of coke. Mr. Don would always come out and slap me on the back.

I remember it too. Building is still there I think, some auto loan place or some such
and yes, the show was sponsored by Richards Ford when they were on Florida across from the often mentioned Rax

Del Lago's
Larry K Sullivan's (corner of Tom Drive and Airline)
Jeb Stuart's Iron Skillet
Leon Alesce's Pool Hall in Southdown's Shopping Center had great po-boys.
The original Southdown's & Down South Restaurant in the back had pretty damn good food.

I can barely remember this, but wasn't there a little Crawfish place on Acadian next to where the Shell and TJ Ribs is?
Or did my 5 year old mind completely make up the existence of such a place?
No, Allan McCarty(he used to be on Channel 33) and his wife owned the place. They used to advertise with us in The Heart of Baton Rouge Magazine.
Also, there was Acadian Seafood on Perkins which was pretty good, had a seafood market as well.
How about the Cockpit right off College Drive and Mike Burke's Place on Florida Boulevard
Bernards was on North Blvd or North Street right down from Romano's.....Used to be a Christmas Eve tradition with my parents to get a fried chicken or fried oyster loaf.

Can you find out from him how they did their double stack pizzas? It was like 2 pizzas one on top of the other. Just not sure how it was assembled and cooked.
