1. Your favorite? Anything BP, OF series (all), RR series

2. Looking forward to finding? New OF 1924

3. Overrated, not worth the hunt/secondary? Willet Rye (puke)

I love good Whiskey and Bourbons, I love the hunt, but nothings better than cracking a new find on football Saturdays or just a great event with friends.

With the money you’re about to start spending on Bama NIL you’re gonna have to switch to cheap whiskey.

Used to (3-5yrs ago) drink Blantons. Then it became very popular and hard to find so had to look for another. Tried Bullet and now I have been drinking Bardstown Original.

I sometimes will switch it around also, Angels Envy can be good at times also.

AE -Rye is like a caramel bomb. It's really good, but can be too sweet.

Get you a bottle of Old Forrester 1920 and thank me later.
Or
Penelope toasted, what a great pour.

I did finally see that and I apologize if my post offends you.
Thank you for directing me to the recipe thread, but I'll pass.

Penelope Rio is excellent if you can find it. The toasted is pretty good though, and it’s cheaper and should be easy to find.

I’ve been drinking a lot of a Louisiana local by JT Meleck that is surprisingly really good.

Blantons has been popular for almost 10 years now, not just 3-5 years ago.

I am far from an expert, but my favorite whiskey is White Horse, and it doesn't have to be some 90-year-old bottle selling on eBay for the price of a used car. The random bottle of White Horse at the local hood liquor store is fine.

As for what's overrated, the only drink I've ever sent back and received a refund for was a Maker's Mark. It's not just overrated - a lot of people probably say it's overrated, but I will submit to you that Maker's Mark is a nasty, unsanitary product. Nothing should taste like that.
