The Wild Turkey is strong but I put a splash of water in it. I guess I didn't compare the proofs. Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll try the Evan Williams next.

Buffalo Trace, anything Jefferson's, Angel's Envy, Eagle Rare - pretty much all the big names are worth trying

Indeed. It is very mashy with a nice zing.

I really like JB Black. Still not expensive.
In my case right now I have Weller Green and Red, Eagle Rare, Jefferson’s Ocean and single barrel, Wathens, Bardstown and maybe some others. Like them all.
Oh and Ezra Brooks Cask Strength. So good.
Woodford had a fish oil taste to me. Like I said, I’m an outlier with that one.

I drink lots of bourbons but find Basil Hayden's easier on the palate for those who don't drink a lot of bourbon. It has a "sweeter" / smoother taste without coming across as some kind of novelty drink. I would highly recommend trying it with a chunk of ice.
