I am heading up to the Northeast this summer and need some good places to eat. I’m spending one night in Boston and 1-2 days in Manhattan. Location doesn’t really matter as I’m not sure where I’m staying yet. I used to go to the city quite a bit but have maybe been twice in the last decade, so my knowledge is dated

I’m trying to hit up a Yankees game, so lunch somewhere in the Bronx may be an option.

I am open to all cuisines although I’d like to dabble in some seafood while in Boston.

Thanks

If seafood, Check out Sammy's fish box on city island In the Bronx. Notoriously known for great seafood.

For burgers, I always recommend my favorite burger joint, Jackson Hole. Oversized mammoth burgers which are delish.

Chinese food, Check out Tao midtown. amazing food and vibe which is a bit pricy, but worth it. nice ambiance.

For steaks, get ready to pay a pretty penny, but Peter Luger will blow you away if you haven't had them before.

edit: these are all in NYC. not sure about boston

I posted a really long thread on the TB with tons of Boston recommendations. This should give you a lot of options:

But if you're thinking seafood, I'd recommend:

Island Creek Oyster Bar
Neptune Oyster Bar
Eventide
B&G Oysters
Row 34

Spent a day in Boston recently. We had pizza and Sal's and got dessert at Mike's Pastry. Both were excellent.

The Eataly in Boston is nicer.

Well, I say that. It's nicer than the original Eataly in New York. I haven't been to the new one near the WTC yet, but I'm guessing that's the nicest one.

Two really good local spots in NYC are

Tacuba - Mexican food with a really creative menu and fantastic drinks

Emily Pizza - Incredible "detroit style" pizza with creative toppings and the most incredible burger I have ever tasted. Pro tip: get the burger as an appetizer to share!

Boston - just walk around the north end and stumble into an Italian place. I honestly don't remember the names of the places I went but they were incredible.

Rubirosa for Italian in New York is amazing.

I wouldn’t waste time at Peter Lugers; it’s a steakhouse no different than any prime steakhouse in any major city.

Inside the Chelsea market is a taco stand that makes the single best taco Al pastor I've ever eaten.
