Get rid of the regulator and just put a needle valve on it

rocketpot is under new management and has some upgraded equipment for 2018. I am considering going this route... Check out their website

I just bought an adjustable regulator 0-30psi by Bayou Classic. Got it on Amazon for 25$ I think.

Definitely highly recommend the rocket pot as well. I have the 120qt and I'm at a rolling boil in 10 minutes

If you are in the BR area, I bought a 0-60psi a few years ago for like 20 or 25 from Brothers Ace Hardware on Millerville.

if you can find it in BR, you can save some shipping, if not, let me know what you are looking for and I will price it for you.

My Uncle boils seafood at least once a week. He has a hose straight from the bottle to the burner, no regulator or needle valve. Been working fine for him for over 30 years. Matter of fact, till about 15-20 years ago, no one that I seen had a regulator on their jet burner.

Me and my father have each used a needle valve set up since the 60s, never had an issue

Regulators are a waste and cause more problems than anything.
