Muffins are pretty much like eating a slice of cake

It’s certainly healthier than what my 5 year old eats every morning for breakfast.

Why the hell not. If you are going to blow the daily calories do it in the morning.

It is fine.

One must die of some easily recognizable medical problem or it gets embarrassing for the coroner. No one ever died of good health!

You might some days alternate with the all American breakfast - Cold Beer and a pop tart. Or Cheerios and Jack Daniels. Both of these are acceptable substitutes for your menu choice.

Let’s see:
8 oz glass of whole milk has 8 g protein (compared to 1 large egg @ only 6 g), but 12 g of sugar.

Blueberry crumb muffin: assuming you’re eating a run-of-the-mill Otis Spunkmeyer, here’s the nutrition breakdown:
Serving Size. 0.5 muffin
Total Fat. 8 g (12 %)
Saturated Fa. t1.5 g (8 %)
Cholesterol. 25 mg (8 %)
Sodium. 240 mg (10 %)
Total Carbohydrate. 28 g (9 %)
Dietary Fiber. 1 g (4 %)
Sugars. 16 g
Protein 3 g
Vitamin A 0 %
Vitamin C. 0 %
Calcium. 2 %
Iron. 6 %
Trans Fat t0 g

So if you’re eating the whole muffin & not half, you’re getting 32 g of sugar from the muffin and 12 g sugar from the milk: 44 g sugar in your brekkie, and 11 G protein.

A bag of peanut M&Ms has just 25 g of sugar and 5 g protein.

If you are making whole-wheat blueberry crumb muffins with minimal added sugar, then we’re talking about a different ballgame.

Aren't there laws against splitting a muffin?

No?

Should be - What's Merca coming to?
