This is about as non an issue as one could be.
Sounds like the Blue Oak guys are good at business and she isn't.
She had 30 years to buy it, was offered it several times and never did.
They did. The end.

Is it illogical?
You’re jumping from A all the way to Z on almost every aspect. Could be true, could be a lot more to the story. I don’t know nor do I really care that much. I like the bar and not the bbq and that’s it as far as I’m concerned about it.

Well, that may be because a) i'm not involved in this business transation and b) i've listened to the podcast on the details. That in and of itself, leaves a lot of gaps to fill in. And this being a discussion board, and this topic is about blue oak and this very subject, we are free to speculate. I'm using some logic to fill in the gaps. If you disagree with something in particular, feel free to tell me what that is.

It more comes off like you decided which side you wanted to be right and are working backwards to fill in the gaps most favorable to that side.
I would definitely prefer the bar to be right, but I’m intellectually honest enough to admit I have no clue and am not going to shill for them just because.

The BBQ in New Orleans is worse than the pizza.

Which is why I simply park on City Park Ave and just walk a block to pick up lunch, then head back to a place in the park near my car. I never expect parking at the establishment...you're correct that it may not exist...but the BBQ does not suck.

There are some outstanding pizza places so that must mean the bbq here is decent

It's always amazed me that with all the incredible restaurants in nola, people still go to blue oak.
The bbq is slightly above average. Which doesn't get you very far in a culinary city like New Orleans.

So that's a no. My comments are based off of the information from the podcast.

I did say the pizza is better than the BBQ. There is not one bbq place in Nola I would say is a really good solid place. Yeah for pizza you have a small handful and a lot of bad. What else you got? Nola Mia?

If you can’t find something you like on the Blue Oak menu or specials of the week, something is wrong with you.
